I loved working with my gorgeous client Karen on this very pink event for her 50th birthday! Karen’s brief was clear, pink, pink and more pink… with a touch of bling! Karen asked me to design a beautiful dessert table her guests could enjoy following their seafood buffet dinner at the Brisbane Tattersall’s club. I used my favourite pink sequin cloth as a base and added mirrored trays and cut glass cake stands and bowls. I also used a sequin cloth as the backdrop and had a giant letter K specially cut for the occasion which I covered in pink glitter!
Karen purchased a Waterford Crystal cake stand especially for the event to display her 4 tiered “ombre” buttercream rose cake made by Deliberately Delicious. The divine desserts were supplied by Velvetier including strawberry mousse pots, strawberry tartlets and “birthday girl” cookies! Pink roses by Bella Bloom sat proudly in crystal vases from Adorn Event Hire. I designed and handmade all the labels and the personalised lindt chocolate bar wrappers !
I also styled 6 guest tables to host Karen’s guests using floor length crushed taffeta table linens. The hero of the tables were the amazing ombre rose floral arrangements again by Bella Bloom in crystal footed bowls by Adorn Event Hire. The addition of silver napoleon chairs and silver charger plates from Styled Events helped offset all the pink and I designed the menus myself using a silver glitter cardstock which doubled as place cards.
